Home prices were up during summer across the nation in year-over-year comparisons. With the economy on full mend, many are predicting that interest rates will go up before the year is over.
Buyers Realize that, while you are waiting, the requirements are also changing. As mortgage rates hover along the lowest marks seen in decades and affordability remains relatively high, more people have an opportunity to buy a home.
Buyer Demand Continues to Outpace the Supply of Homes For Sale
New Listings in the Charlotte region increased 3.4 percent to 6,567. Pending Sales were up and Inventory decreased 20.8 percent to. Good news for sellers, there are more buyers out in the market right now than at any other time in the past three years.
Prices continued to gain traction. The Median Sales Price increased 7.8 percent to $200,000. List to Close was down 7.3 percent to 114 days. Sellers were encouraged as Months Supply of Inventory was down 33.3 percent to 3.8 months.
